Legislation

In line with the new registration laws

From September 2024 onwards, all employees in the cleaning sector are obliged to register their activities (starting and stopping times) online. The registered hours are sent directly to the social security office (RSZ). That makes it possible to check that working activities are being recorded correctly.

Basic safety first

All employees entering a building site, including those who come to do cleaning work or to clear up the site, are obliged to take training. Our employees can do this all over Belgium, in several languages. Once they have taken a day’s training, they are awarded a certificate and can safely enter a building site to do their work.

Our certificates

Besides our commitment to the environment, sustainability, reliability and our own employees, we are also involved with social projects. For example, we are an official partner of the Ronald McDonald Kinderfonds. This international chapter of Ronald McDonald House Charities is dedicated to the welfare of sick children and their families.

Clean Advantage certificate – environment & sustainability

We participate in the Clean Advantage programme through Fleetcor and Greenprint LLC. Our participation enabled us to compensate for the CO₂ emissions (6,300.01 kg) of our vehicle fleet in 2023. We invest in certified CO₂compensation projects selected in accordance with the World Resources Institute’s criteria.

Reliability within the cleaning sector

Orisma is a well-known company and a member of ABSU, the General Belgian Cleaning Federation. ABSU is the professional association for the cleaning sector, which defends our rights and supports our interests. It also offers training.

Tested and approved by SGS

Running our business properly is extremely important to us. That’s why Orisma is certified by SGS for:

Cleaning the interior of various buildings, offices, factories, shops, hotels, schools, etc.
Hotel services, housekeeping
Glass cleaning

SGS is a leading testing, inspection and certification company, known as a worldwide benchmark for quality and integrity. SGS also monitors how we respect the environment in our activities.

What do we do for our own staff?

Internally, we are also committed to training for our own employees. Courses offered by BOMA or ABSU on cleaning techniques turn them into cleaning and maintenance professionals. Our staff can take courses on the latest techniques through the VDAB (Flemish employment service). And our administrative staff also take regular training in the form of online courses or webinars.
